Tony - 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Notchback

Right where do I start!

1974 walking along Margate seafront, saw a custom car cruise past, thought cool I could do that.

Bought a Viva HA, don’t laugh not a lot of money back then didn’t have garage so all work carried out in back garden, including the spray job!

Deep button draylon interior one way film on glass keyless ignition quite trick at the time, oh and the exhaust pipes were sprayed silver 3inch plastic water pipes attached to side to look like lake pipes.(I know pretty naff no cash for real thing)

Any way here are last remaining photo’s of said car.

Whilst running this car went to Detling show (should have taken a boat and that’s a long story) saw this rather neat 67 Barracuda once again thought that’s cool like one of them (again a long story but will get to that soon).

Next came the Corsair again to long to explain everything here let pic’s do the talking same back garden.

Getting better at it as you can see.

Then the Pop, again let pic’s do the talking, progressed to a garage now makes a difference. Had some help on this one as the club was slowly coming together Chris (el presidente) came round to assist, not sure he liked it that much, check photo. See even he had hair back then.

A mini drag car built for my son by Uncle Paul and myself.
He did all the clever stuff like making it work I did the body and electrics.
Also the car was called Tec Warrior which as you know has now become the name of the club.

Gave up the car scene for a couple of years then until looking through auto trader saw ad, for sale 1967 notchback Barracuda.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Say no more off to chapatti land and got it, what a pile of junk
Spent many hours (years) and lots of cash to get it as it is now but think it was worth it.
See told you I would get one. You may notice in club car pics says 1968 not true it’s a 67 built in Hamtrack imported to England for a US airman and converted to RHD.
Well that’s a rough out line of a wasted life could go on for decades but web page ain’t big enough.
