Nigel - 1979 Pontiac Trans Am

Now I've gone bigger (455 Olds engine) and better (not painted in Hammerite)!

This was my first car. A 1978 Pontiac Firebird that I bought in January 2007. It had the 3.8 V6 engine and 3 speed auto box. She was solid in all the right places except for the boot lid. She really needed a re-spray as she was finished in Hammerite!

I have found out a lot of information about her using the Cowl Plate Data from www.78ta.com She was originally red with a black interior and bucket seats. The rest of the car is as of spec. She comes from the Norwood plant in Ohio and I believe is a 78 but I'm not 100% sure.

Sadly she died when the engine blew on the way to Chicken Run 2008. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, the car was scrapped.
